Ruth (Ries) Weimerskirk

Ruth Katherine Weimerskirk, 68, of Bellevue, passed away, Wednesday morning, September 30, 2015, at her home. A Funeral Service for Ruth will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday morning, October 5, 2015, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellevue. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation for Ruth will be held from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue and again on Monday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Ruth was born on October 16, 1946 in Bellevue, daughter of Melvin Doc and Kathleen (Rubel) Ries. She married Larry Weimerskirk on July 9, 1966, in Bellevue. Ruth was as tough as nails but had a heart of gold. She was a hard worker spending 42 years in the foundry at A.Y. McDonald in Dubuque. She was the only women in the foundry and had a motherly love for all the men she worked with. Ruths family meant the world to her. Her grandchildren were especially important to her, she enjoyed attending the many events they were involved in and just having them around. Ruth also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, especially Euchre and Hearts. She will be deeply missed. Those left to honor her memory include her children, Sherry (Randy) Theisen, of La Motte, Tammy (Jeff) Oster, of Bellevue, and Todd (Rhonda) Weimerskirk , of Delmar; grandchildren, Krystal (Joe) Frederick, Lindsay and Bailey Theisen, Ty and Shayla Oster, and Trenton and Mason Weimerskirk; a great grandchild, Tyler Frederick and one on the way; two brothers, Ronald (Pat) Ries and Randy (Linda) Ries; four sisters, Rosalie Ploessl, Rita (Steve) Putman, Rebecca (Kevin) Hurlburt, and Roxanne (Doug) Kueter; and a sister in-law, Barb Ries, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Larry in 2007; parents; brother, Robert Ries, sister in-law LuAnn Ries, and brother in-law Art Ploessl.Reception:Horizon Hall970 North Riverview StreetBellevue, IA 52031
