Ryan D. Horan 23, of Chicago, originally from Bellevue, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2012, following an accidental fall. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2012, at Bellevue High School Gymnasium in Bellevue. Burial will be in the First Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation for Ryan will be held from 3:00 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service and again on Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 at the High School. Ryan was born on September 23, 1988 in Dubuque, son of Dale and Cheryl (Nolting) Horan. Ryan graduated from Bellevue High School with the class of 2007. While in high school, he played football, basketball, and golf. He continued his education at The University of Iowa, graduating in May of 2011 with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance and a Minor in Psychology. Ryan was an avid Hawkeye fan. He was employed as an Institutional Investment Associate with DiMeo Schneider & Associates in Chicago. Ryan enjoyed snowboarding, golf, boating with family and friends, tailgating at Iowa football games, beach volleyball, waterskiing with the Bellevue Ski Club, and hunting. Ryan will be remembered for his upbeat personality and great sense of humor. He loved being around people, and always had a smile on his face. He was a respectful person, and enjoyed many good times with his many friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Dale and Cheryl Horan of Bellevue; two sisters, Tanya (John) Roeder of Bellevue, and Angela Horan of Chicago IL; grandparents Loren and Geraldine Nolting of Preston; two nieces Makinlee and Alexa Roeder, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents James and Marie Horan; his Uncle Donald Horan; his aunt Colleen Nolting; and his cousin Terry Burken.
