Stanley Michael Kilburg, 55, of Bellevue, passed away Wednesday morning, March 1, 2017, at Mill Valley Care Center in Bellevue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 4, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Bellevue. Visitation for Stan will be held from 3:00 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service and again Saturday morning from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Stan was born on June 29, 1961 in Bellevue, Iowa, son of Merle and Marilyn (Guckenberger) Kilburg. Stans contagious smile could brighten anyones day. His joyful attitude and innocence touched everyone who knew him. Stan always kept busy, he loved to bowl, fish, play the guitar and ride his bike. He competed in the Special Olympics numerous times, he was so proud of his medals. Stan was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and NASCAR fan. He also loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles. Those left to honor his memory, include his parents, Merle and Marilyn Kilburg; siblings, Sue (Mike) Wagner, of Preston, Steve (Mary) Kilburg, of Davenport and Sandra (Joe) Steinke, of Bettendorf, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alvin and Helen Guckenberger and paternal grandparents, Norbert and Armella KilburgThe family would like to thank the entire community of Bellevue and the staff at Mill Valley Care Center for their support of Stan all these years.Memorials may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church, to be used for the parish tower clock face repair.
