June 20, 2007 Stanley J. Sturm, 61, of Bellevue, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at his home with his family after a 10 month battle with cancer. Stanley was born August 12th, 1945 in Bellevue, son of the late Alphonse and Erma (Tebbe) Sturm. He married Darla Kueter on November 18th, 1967 in Bellevue. She survives. Stanley worked in Customer Service at Hawkeye Truck and Trailer of Dubuque. Horses, antique tractors and camping were among his favorite things to do. Most of all he loved his family. Besides his loving wife, Darla Sturm of Bellevue, survivors include his children, Rebecca (Larry) Sullivan, Heather (Triphon Dryman) Sturm, and Daniel Sturm all of Bellevue; six grandchildren, Gabrielle Sullivan, Nicole Sullivan, Lexee Sullivan, Natalie Sullivan, Kalab Bibens and Karter Bibens. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Kristine Sturm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 23rd, 2007 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Bellevue. The Rev. Scott Bullock will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 PM at the Kingery~Lemke Funeral Home of Bellevue and again on Saturday from 9:30 AM until the time of procession from the funeral home.
