Thelma F. Mangler, 93, of Dubuque, passed away, Tuesday morning, January 5, 2016, at Luther Manor in Dubuque. A Christian Funeral Service for Thelma will be held at 11:00 am, Friday morning, January 8, at First Presbyterian Church, in Bellevue. A visitation will be from 9:00 11:00am, Friday Morning prior to the service, also at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue. Thelma was born February 27, 1922 in Muscatine County, daughter of Albert and Margaret (Batchelor) Freyermuth. She married Frank M. Mangler on April 22, 1942 at St. John Lutheran Church in Bellevue. He passed away on October 7, 1989. Thelma was a wonderful wife, mother and aunt. She was involved in the American Legion Auxiliary, Eastern Star, and the Presbyterian Church. Thelma loved to travel and crochet whenever possible. Those left to honor her memory include two daughters, Jeanette (Richard) Anderson, of Marion, Iowa and Marilyn Mangler, of Dubuque; and three grandchildren Mark (Kim) Anderson, Tammie Anderson and Paul (Becky) Anderson; and three great grandchildren, Alexa (Doug) DeLong, Isaac and Ian Anderson; great-great grandchild, McKenzie Delong; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson, John Anderson; two sisters, Alberta Smith and Violet Kelly.
