Thomas Charles Budde

Thomas Charles Budde, 70, of Bellevue, died Saturday, July 22, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque. Tom was born July 22nd, 1936, in Bellevue son of the late Irving Pard C. and Gena (Haugen) Budde. He married Betty J. Putman on December 31st, 1961 in Bellevue. She survives. Tom was a foreman for Clinton Engines of Maquoketa and also worked as a patient aide for Mercy Hospital. He enjoyed camping and telling stories. He was a wizard of folklore. Most of all he loved his family. Besides his loving wife Betty Budde of Bellevue, he is survived by four children, Vickie Putman, Bellevue, Kathy (Keith) Boesenberg, Cedar Rapids, James Charles (Barb) Budde, Bellevue and Debbie (Chuck) Budde-Bandy, Dubuque; 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Ginny) Budde, Davenport and one sister, Helen (Earl) Griebel, Bellevue; other relatives and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one daughter, Sherri Michels. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Bellevue. The Rev. Paul Gammelin will officiate. Burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery in Bellevue. Friends may call on Monday from 4-7 PM at the Kingery Funeral Home in Bellevue and again on Tuesday from 9:30 am until the time of services at the church.
