Bellevue, Ia. Wayne Bainbridge, 79, of Bellevue, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Finley Hospital in Dubuque In honor of Waynes wishes there will be no public services. A Private family memorial service will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery in Sinsinawa, officiated by Rev. Dianne Grace. Wayne Bainbridge, son of Alfred & Modesta (Bazinette) Bainbridge was born on October 31, 1934 in Dubuque. He married Barbara Michels on December 30, 1954 at St. Joseph Catholic in Bellevue. Wayne attended Loras Academy in Dubuque and later graduated from University of Nebraska in Omaha. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1954, in which he served a 20 year career, retiring in 1974. He then worked another 16 years at John Deere in Dubuque. Wayne was a quiet man with a good heart. He enjoyed fixing and building things. Wayne was prud of his family and will be deeply missed by all. Those left to honor his memory include his wife of 59 years, Barb, of Bellevue; five children Deb (Larry) Nemmers, of Bellevue, Laura (Mike) Feller, of Chesterton, Indiana, Linda (Bruce) Foley, of Lake Mills, Wisconsin, Al Bainbridge, of Waterloo, Iowa and Lee (Jen) Bainbridge, of Cedar Falls, Iowa; 12 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, three brothers, Dave (Mary Ann), Bobby (Sharon), Gary (Peggy); three sisters, Marilyn Langas, Sandy (Jim) Bush, and Darlene (David) Baley. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Julie Bainbridge; granddaughter, Christina Scholtes; brother, Lyle and sister, Marcia Rettenmeier. The family wishes to thank the Bellevue Ambulance for their special care and compassion shown to Wayne.
