Wesley Beecher

Wesley Beecher, 84, of Amarillo, Texas, formerly Bellevue, passed away Friday, September 8th, 2006 at the Veterans Hospital in Amarillo. Wesley was born September 13th, 1921 in Dinsdale, Iowa, son of the late Merrill E. and Alvina (Chizek) Beecher. He married Phyllis Ploen. She preceded him in death February 12th, 2005. Wesley was an Iowa Conservation Officer for Jackson County from 1961 1983 and retired after 27 years of service. He was proud to have served his country in the United States Navy and World War II. He is survived by one daughter, Sharon Beecher of Hoschton, Georgia and one son, Richard (Terry) Beecher of Amarillo, Texas; four grandchildren and one great grandson; one brother, Richard (Mary) Beecher, Traer, Iowa. Besides his wife, Phyllis and his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebecca and one brother. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 22nd, 2006 at the First Presbyterian Church in Bellevue The Rev. Dr. Marsha M. Wilfong will officiate.
