William A. Reeg, 83 of LaMotte, passed away Wednesday, March 29th, 2006 at Mill Valley Care Center in Bellevue. Bill was born December 3rd, 1922, in Bellevue, son of the late William J. & Edna (Ernst) Reeg. He married Marian E. Adams on August 1st, 1945 in the St Clements Catholic Church in Lancaster, Wisconsin. She survives. Bill was a Machinist for John Deere, retiring September 28th, 1978. He and his family enjoyed watching drag racing down in Cordova, Illinois. After retirement he spent much of his time helping his son, Bill farm. He especially loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides his loving wife, Marian, his survivors include seven children; Stan (Betty) Reeg, DeWitt, Bill (Diana) Reeg, Bellevue, Mike (Peg) Reeg and Don Reeg both of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jim (Kathy Kean) Reeg, Monument, Colorado, Judy (Ken) Lochner, Meldi Budde of Dubuque; 25 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; siblings, Edwin (Dorothy), Perly (Katie), Carlyle (Betty), Le Roy (Jeanne), Arlene (Cletus) Victor, Linda (Norb) Lampe; one sister-in-law, Darlene Reeg; many other relatives and friends. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one grandson, Craig William Reeg; two granddaughters, Alicia Lochner and Angela Budde; two great grandchildren, Shawn Michael Ernst and Deana Stoecken; one brother, Robert J. Reeg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Saturday, April 1st, 2006, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, La Motte. The Rev Fr. Robert Harness will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 4-7 pm at the Kingery Funeral Home in Bellevue and again on Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of services at the church in La Motte.
