In July 2018, Mark and his wife Emily purchased the Hachmann Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Mark E. Mier was born and raised in South Dakota. He graduated from the University of South Dakota with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry, then earned a degree in Mortuary Science at Kansas City Kansas Community College in 1998. He began his funeral service career in Iowa in 1998, where he met his wife. Mark and his wife Emily have a daughter Claire. A lifetime member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity – South Dakota Alpha. Mark has earned the CCSP (Certified Cremation Service Provider) designation from the National Funeral Directors Association. They attend St. Joseph's Catholic Church, a member of Bellevue Knights of Columbus 1354 and Bellevue Area Centennial Lions Club. We enjoy spending time with family and friends and attending community events. Mark is licensed in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin and is a member of the Iowa Funeral Directors Association and National Funeral Directors Association
Max and his wife Mary are very active in the Bellevue Area and surrounding community. They are members of the First Presbyterian Church of Bellevue where they have served on several boards and committees. Max is a graduate of Bellevue Community Schools. He works part time for Paramount Emergency Medical Services of Dubuque. He is also a member of Bellevue Emergency Medical Service. Max enjoys water skiing and is co-director of Ski Bellevue's water ski show team. He is a long time member of the Bellevue Rotary Club and the Bellevue Heritage Committee.
Max has two children, Scott(Alma) of Carlisle, Iowa and Kemis Hoyt of Berlin H.H. and three grandchildren.

Michael A. Roth, 76, of Bellevue passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque.
Visitation will be 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Friday, May 31, 2024 at Hachmann-Mier Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Bellevue. Graveside Services will be at 1:30 pm following the visitation at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Bellevue. A Celebration of Life will follow graveside services at the Bellevue Golf Course.
Mike was born on November 15, 1947 the son of Russel and Corrine (Nemmers) Roth. He graduated from Marquette High School in 1965. Mike married Elizabeth “Liz” Roling of Bellevue on June 7, 1969. Liz passed away on November 9, 2020.
After graduating from high school, Mike joined Interstate Power Company, which later became Alliant Energy in Dubuque. He spent his entire forty-seven year career there, retiring in 2012. In retirement he worked part-time for Hachmann and Hachmann-Mier Funeral Home until his passing.
Mike was a proud and productive citizen of Bellevue. He was a member of the Bellevue Volunteer Fire Department and served on the Bellevue City Council and volunteered at the Bellevue Bread Basket.
Mike enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing and spectating sports. He was a dedicated and sometimes dire fan of the Hawkeyes, the Bears, and the Cubs. He loved live music, car shows, and being out and about with others.
Mike is survived by his daughters, Jodi and Scott Felderman of Connecticut, and Stephanie and Eddie Fadel of California; his grandchildren Paige and Michael of Iowa City, Audrey Felderman, Ellie Felderman, and Quinn Felderman all still establishing their roots; his younger siblings Julie and Willie Freiburger of Dubuque, Jerry and Joan of Council Bluffs, Tim and LouAnn Roth of Bellevue, Tom and Lisa Roth of Bellevue, Tony and Jackie Roth of Elizabeth Town KY, Rusty and Rhonda Roth of Bellevue, and Jon and Marna Roth of Dubuque.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Liz; mother and father-in-law Jeanette and Robert Roling.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Mike’s memory with the Bellevue Bread Basket.
